Microsoft-backed Space and Time Labs has introduced the SXT Chain testnet, a blockchain powered by zero-knowledge (ZK) technology that is specifically designed for decentralized finance (DeFi) smart contracts. The SXT Chain aims to enhance data availability and support developers with its adaptable data structure and blockchain connectivity.
Space and Time Expands Access to Blockchain Data with SXT Chain
The SXT Chain provides developers with a decentralized data source to index data from leading blockchains like Ethereum ($ETH) and ZKsync. By leveraging zero-knowledge proofs, SXT enables developers to access, query, and verify data for various applications. With the help of the Proof of SQL system, SXT enables sub-second ZK-proven SQL database queries that can be easily integrated into smart contracts.
This groundbreaking innovation addresses a key limitation in DeFi platforms. Previously, lending rates were fixed for all users due to the limited access to borrower credit history data. However, with SXT’s SQL interface, lending protocols can now connect on-chain loan history with a credit score verified through ZK-proof, resulting in customized interest rates.
Secure and Scalable Solutions through Integration with ZKsync and Chainlink
Space and Time has partnered with ZKsync to facilitate seamless smart contract deployment and introduce a ZK rollup within the Elastic Chain ecosystem. The ZK rollup will enable developers to deploy Solidity smart contracts and access decentralized applications (dApps) such as payment handling and staking on top of the SXT Chain.
Additionally, SXT will integrate with the Chainlink Network to streamline ZK-proof verification. Through Chainlink Functions, developers will be able to directly connect SXT’s ZK-proven data results to their smart contracts, expanding the options for scalable and data-driven smart contracts.
Digital Asset, which is supported by Microsoft’s venture capital arm M12 Ventures, collaborates with Microsoft’s AI Innovation Center to advance blockchain technology. Kathleen Mitford, Microsoft’s CVP of Global Industry Marketing, has recognized the role of the SXT Chain in enabling next-generation blockchain solutions.
Currently, the SXT Chain testnet is available for developers and community members. It offers Galxe quests and tools that are essential for building data-heavy decentralized applications based on ZK technology.
