Aura Network, a Level 1 provider of open infrastructure using modular technology stacks, has announced an exciting new project. The company is introducing Aura EVM, a platform that aims to enhance opportunities for developers in the Web3 sector and drive its adoption. In a recent post on its official X account, Aura Network shared insights into this project.
Known for its focus on NFTs and solutions for mass adoption, Aura has been a leader in the permissioned CosmWasm app chain space since its establishment. The platform has pioneered local account abstraction and built a robust infrastructure. Building on this foundation, Aura Network is now launching its cutting-edge second phase. The goal is to accelerate Web3 development by adopting the Ethermint Virtual Machine.
The EVM is a well-known smart contract tool globally, and by integrating it, Aura has achieved compatibility with the EVM. This upgrade marks a significant milestone for the platform, transforming Aura into an interoperable and permissionless general-purpose layer. As a result, Aura now supports both EVM and CosmWasm smart contracts.
Aura Network also highlighted its efforts to introduce an exclusive system message type for encapsulating EVM messages, making them compatible with Cosmos-based messages. This compatibility allows for the integration of DApps with Aura, enabling decentralized applications to operate on popular crypto platforms such as Arbitrum, BNB Chain, Ethereum, and more.
The project’s interoperability creates a versatile deployment environment for developers. They now have the flexibility to choose their preferred ecosystem for deployment. While there are already several EVM-compatible chains available, Aura’s advanced modular architecture offers additional benefits to developers. It provides a broader scope for optimization and allows Aura to stand out from the crowd.
