Animoca Brands, a renowned company specializing in digital entertainment and gamification using blockchain technology, has made an exciting announcement. The company has become the launch partner for the Anime Foundation, a community culture platform that spans both Web3 and Web2. This news was revealed on Animoca Brands’ X account.
We are delighted to announce that we are partnering with @AnimeFDN, a community-owned cultural protocol for anime and manga that spans both Web2 and #Web3. Our subsidiary @Animocabrandskk, along with @San_FranTokyo and @myanimelist, are also part of this exciting endeavor. [img]
In addition to this announcement, Animoca Brands has published a blog post detailing the development. The post highlights the involvement of MyAnimeList, San FranTokyo, Animoca Brands Japan, and Animoca Brands in this initiative. The collaboration aims to provide exclusive experiences and opportunities for fans and creators.
Furthermore, this partnership is expected to bring breakthroughs for IP holders, studios, and brands and projects inspired by manga and anime worldwide. It comes after Animoca Brands Japan’s strategic investment of JPY¥300M into MyAnimeList, the largest manga and anime community database and site globally, boasting 16 million registered members.
Additionally, Anime Foundation plans to establish a strategic partnership with Mocaverse, a prominent growth forum. Mocaverse focuses on PointFi, Reputation, Identity, and Account systems with interoperability, while Animoca Brands provides the seeds for this collaboration. The strategic endeavor will leverage the recently unveiled Realm Network SDK of Metaverse for the launch of Anime ID.
The primary goal of this initiative is to bridge the gap between the traditional anime market and Web3 communities. Anime ID, touted as a decentralized identifier and reputation layer, will facilitate the onboarding of the Web3 ecosystem. Animoca Brands aims to enhance fan experiences and strengthen the global manga and anime culture through this endeavor. Anime ID will play a central role in the operations of the Anime Foundation, offering cutting-edge monetization models.
