CryptoQuant, a leading cryptocurrency data provider, has revealed that the current holdings of Bitcoin miners have reached their lowest level in over 14 years. This is a significant milestone for the cryptocurrency industry. According to CryptoQuant data, the miner reserve has halved from its peak and has not been this low in over 5,000 days. This suggests that there will be less selling pressure from miners when the main bull cycle begins.

The decreasing miner supply of Bitcoin is a clear indication of the growing demand for the cryptocurrency. It is worth noting that 14 years ago, in 2010, Bitcoin was still a relatively new concept and not widely adopted. Satoshi Nakamoto, the mysterious founder of Bitcoin, was still actively involved in the project. Altcoins were not yet in existence, making Bitcoin the only digital currency in circulation. The US President at that time was Barack Obama, and it would be another decade before notable investors like Michael Saylor, the CEO of MicroStrategy, would consider investing in Bitcoin.

The current decrease in miner reserves comes at a time when the demand for Bitcoin is increasing and the inflation rate is falling. Analysts predict that this trend will lead to a shortage of supply in the coming years. The limited supply of Bitcoin means that as demand rises, fewer new coins will be mined, making the available supply even scarcer.

In this situation, it is expected that only a few companies and investors who take a long-term, supply-chain perspective will benefit. Those who invest now stand to gain significantly from the scarcity of new bitcoins. The market is likely to undergo a shift due to this scarcity, and only a few winners will emerge.

This brings to mind the slogan “slowly, then all at once.” While the reduction in miner reserves may currently be gradual, the impact on the price of Bitcoin and the overall market could be sudden and substantial.
